This season the Rock Creek Sports Complex will host two Movies in the Park events sponsored by Northside Hospital Forsyth and the Dawson County Parks & Recreation.


About the festival:
Looking for a low-cost or free family event in North Georgia that are close to home this summer?   

This summer  Southern Outdoor Cinema returns to Dawsonville for its third season of Movies in the Park.  Movies in the Park are more then a movie under the stars event.  It is a family festival that concludes with a movie being played on a big screen in the park.  Pre-movie festival activities include children's activities, moonwalk, sponsor booths and food vendors.

Blockbuster movies will be shown on a huge two-story tall inflatable movie screen.  The audience will be in awe of the outdoor movie presentation which consists of bright and colorful images and crystal clear sound.  You will feel like you are watching just like in a movie theater except with the stars above.  

The events are free.  Food vendors are available at each of the events.  Just bring a blanket or a low-back lawn chair.   Come early to enjoy the festival or to get a good spot on the lawn.

Please leave your pets at home.

TIP: Remember your bug spray!!
